Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Panel Shop Technician to join our team. This role involves constructing, wiring, and assembling control panels according to UL 508A standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical assembly, wiring, and a keen attention to detail to ensure high-quality workmanship and compliance with safety standards.
Responsibilities:
Assemble and wire industrial control panels following UL 508A guidelines and project schematics.
Interpret electrical diagrams and schematics to accurately layout and install components within panels.
Conduct quality checks to ensure wiring and assembly comply with UL 508A standards and project specifications.
Troubleshoot and rectify any issues or discrepancies found during the assembly process.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with safety regulations.
Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to improve panel design and assembly processes.
Manage inventory of components and supplies, ensuring availability for ongoing projects.
Keep detailed records of assembly processes and modifications for future reference and compliance.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in electrical engineering or a related field is a plus.
